The cornerstone of this initiative, known as Maha-Vistar AI, is already providing real-time, voice-based crop management and pest control advice to over 3 million farmers in local languages.

In the Kalyan Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC), high-quality rice varieties reached a staggering record price of ₹9,000 per quintal today. This price peak is a direct result of a severe supply crunch, with daily arrivals in Kalyan plummeting to just 0.3 tonnes. Farmers holding premium stock are seeing unprecedented returns compared to previous months.
The trend of firm pricing is not limited to Kalyan; neighboring markets in Ulhasnagar and Palghar are also reporting strong trading activity. Rice prices in these regions are holding steady between ₹4,000 and ₹6,000 per quintal, depending on the variety and quality of the grain.
