Maharashtra government will organize a flagship “Kisan Samruddhi Mahotsav” on September 12 at Ramtek’s Nehru Maidan to showcase sustainable farming methods, including organic farming, soil testing, and mechanization, with spiritual guidance from Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
The Maharashtra government is set to organize the highly anticipated Kisan Samruddhi Mahotsav on September 12 at Nehru Maidan, Ramtek. This mega farming fair is centered on promoting sustainable and natural farming practices, aiming to boost farmer prosperity across the region. State Agriculture Minister Ashish Jaiswal emphasized that the event would highlight innovations to enhance farm productivity while championing eco-friendly techniques.
A key highlight of the fair will be a session on natural farming led by spiritual leader and founder of the Art of Living, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Attendees will gain unique insights into organic methods that blend traditional wisdom with modern sustainability—reinforcing the fair’s goal of empowering farming communities holistically.
In attendance will be several high-profile dignitaries: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, Agriculture Minister Dattatraya Bharane, Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, State Agriculture Price Commission Chairman Pasha Patel, and Ramtek MP Shyamkumar Barve. Their involvement underlines the state's commitment to integrating policy with grassroots agricultural development
The exhibition component will feature stalls and showcases dedicated to organic produce, soil testing, livestock, agricultural mechanization, and products under the PM-FME (Prime Minister’s Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises) scheme. Farmers and stakeholders will be able to explore value-added agri-products and technologies in one place.
Expanding the fair’s reach, the entire program will be live-streamed across 117 countries via the Art of Living platform—enabling international audiences to witness and learn from India’s sustainable agriculture initiatives. This global exposure could accelerate adoption of eco-friendly practices beyond national borders.
