GauTech 2026 Begins in Pune: International Expo Showcases Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Cow-Based Economy
The four-day international exhibition 'GauTech 2026' kicked off at the Agriculture College Ground in Pune on March 20. Organized by the Global Confederation of Cow-Based Industries (GCCBI) and the Maharashtra Gau Seva Aayog, the event showcases over 300 stalls and 10 thematic seminars focused on natural farming and rural startups.
The cultural and educational hub of Pune is currently hosting a landmark event, 'GauTech 2026', which aims to provide global recognition to cow-based industries and innovation. Inaugurated on March 20, 2026, this four-day international summit at the Agriculture College Ground, Shivajinagar, serves as a bridge between traditional Vedic wisdom and modern scientific research.
The exhibition features more than 300 stalls showcasing a diverse range of products and services, including bio-pesticides, organic fertilizers, Panchgavya-based healthcare, and bio-energy solutions like biogas. A key highlight is the live display of various indigenous Indian cattle breeds, allowing farmers and breeders to learn about the economic potential of native livestock.
Dr. Vallabhbhai Kathiria, founder of the Global Confederation of Cow-Based Industries (GCCBI), emphasized that the expo is a movement to create economic incentives that value the cow, thereby providing a permanent solution to the stray cattle menace through value addition of cow dung and urine. The event also hosts 10 thematic seminars where scientists, policymakers, and successful entrepreneurs discuss the integration of cow-based investments into the mainstream economy.
One of the strategic goals of GauTech 2026 is to foster B2B (Business-to-Business) and G2B (Government-to-Business) opportunities. Several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed during the summit, particularly in the sectors of eco-friendly construction materials made from cow dung and high-value medicinal products.
With over 15,000 visitors expected by the closing ceremony on March 23, the expo is being hailed as a significant step toward the vision of a "Developed India 2047". For rural youth, the event offers a roadmap for starting cow-centric startups, which can revitalize the rural landscape of Bharat by generating sustainable local employment.
